The Performance Tour is one of the most scenic and exciting snowmobile experiences in Colorado. Located just outside Denver, this guided adventure takes you to the highest snowmobiling terrain in the state atop Fremont Pass. Riders of all ability levels can join the Performance Tour and reach elevations above 12,500 feet. At this altitude, you’ll ride through powder-filled bowls, wide-open meadows, and along the Continental Divide with spectacular views of Colorado’s tallest peaks.
Each tour begins with a clear introduction to your snowmobile. Guides will explain the features of the machine and provide a practice session so that every participant feels comfortable with the handling. Once everyone is ready, the group rides up the trail system toward the open bowls of Chicago Ridge. Above treeline, the views expand dramatically, offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and endless opportunities for exploration.
The terrain at Fremont Pass is what makes the Performance Tour unforgettable. With more than 4,000 acres to ride, there is plenty of room to carve turns on the mountainsides or blaze your own path through fresh powder. The natural openness of the landscape means that even larger groups can spread out and enjoy the snow without feeling crowded. At its highest point, the Performance Tour reaches the summit of Chicago Ridge, more than two miles above sea level. This elevation guarantees consistent snow conditions and some of the best snowmobiling terrain near Denver. The ride itself lasts about two hours and is geared toward single riders, making it an excellent option for adults or groups seeking a fast-paced and immersive experience. For larger groups, one double machine may be included so everyone can participate.
Multiple daily departures are available, with tours leaving at 9:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. This flexibility makes it easy to plan your adventure around the rest of your trip. Whether you choose a morning ride with crisp air and quiet trails, or an afternoon departure when the light softens over the peaks, the Performance Tour delivers breathtaking views and plenty of excitement.
If you are new to snowmobiling, don’t worry—our guides are experienced, friendly, and ready to support riders of all skill levels. Safety is emphasized throughout, and all participants receive instruction and guidance before setting off. Helmets are provided, and guests are reminded to bring their own winter clothing, insulated boots, goggles or sunglasses, and gloves or mittens.

- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Performance Tours.
- Snowmobile drivers must be at least 15 years old to operate a machine.
- Drivers must be 18 years of age in order to carry a passenger.
- Each guest must sign a liability waiver before departure.
- All Performance Tours have a 48-hour cancellation policy (72 hours for groups of 10 or more).
